All seventeen colors of Here to Stay long sleeve, backs facing out, fanned in an arc

SANS ARMURE

COLLECTION 002

What we leave in color

THE ARCHIVE

proof you were here.

THE CENTRAL IDEA

We are not designing
17 shirts.

We are preserving
17 memories.

The shirt is simply the object the memory lives inside.

SANS ARMURE · THE ARCHIVE · COLLECTION 002

02

RECALL

when the body remembers first.

We don’t always remember
when we first heard a song.

We remember where we were
when it became ours.

SANS ARMURE · THE ARCHIVE · COLLECTION 002

04

The passenger seat.

The kitchen.

The first concert.

Someone’s bedroom.

The drive home.

The person who sent it to us.

SANS ARMURE · THE ARCHIVE · COLLECTION 002

05

Years later,
the first note plays.

And before you can place
the year, the room,
or the person,

your body remembers.

WE CALL THAT RECALL.

SANS ARMURE · THE ARCHIVE · COLLECTION 002

06

COLOR IS HOW WE SEE
THE MEMORY.

RECALL IS HOW THE BODY
REMEMBERS IT.

WHERE RECALL COMES FROM

Muscle memory

Some songs live differently inside us. The first note can return the body to a moment before the mind has time to understand why.

This involuntary relationship between music and memory is the idea behind Recall.

A concert.

A passenger seat.

A kitchen.

A bedroom.

A person.

A summer.

RECALL · WHEN THE BODY REMEMBERS FIRST.

SANS ARMURE · THE ARCHIVE · COLLECTION 002

08

THE LANGUAGE OF THE ARCHIVE

01

Memory

what remains.

02

Hue

what the memory looked like.

03

Recall

the song that brings you back.

04

Place

where it lived.

05

Hour

when it happened.

06

Air

what the memory smelled and felt like.

07

State

the emotion left behind.

08

Relic

the object that survived it.

09

HOUR · WHEN IT HAPPENED

Seventeen memories.
One day.

Every memory has an hour. Put them on one clock and the collection becomes a single day, from Daybreak at 6:02 in the morning to Ash at 3:03, when everyone else is asleep.

SANS ARMURE RADIO · TRANSMISSION 001 · PHASE 1

Not simply a playlist.

Each Recall belongs to a Memory. A song becomes important not only because of how it sounds, but because of where it takes us.

A room. A person. A city. A first concert. A drive home. A summer. A goodbye.

Recall is the bridge between music and memory. A new transmission follows every Monday, on Spotify and Apple Music.

THE DRAWING · HOW HERE TO STAY WAS MADE · PHASE 1

It started as a line.

Two flat drawings. Two placements. Then cut, dyed and washed into the garment.

THE MEMORY TAG · PHASE 1

A tag that carries
yours, too.

Part museum card, part diary entry, part record insert. The back holds the memory in our own language, then leaves two lines empty.

The owner writes their own memory there. The object begins carrying their story, too. The QR shown is a placeholder.

ONE DESIGN SYSTEM · NO TWO BEHAVE ALIKE · PHASE 2

Each memory opens its own way.

Fathom

You scroll down and the page goes under. Light bends. Sound muffles.

After Midnight

Almost entirely black. Text arrives slowly. Silence matters.

Nectar

Quick fragments, summer photographs, sunlight. Nothing waits.

Ash

Things disappear as you go. The page ends emptier than it began.

Meadow

It moves sideways. Open space, wind, the sound of outside.

Sanguine

Red is not there at first. It comes up as you stay.

And some hide something: a private sentence, an alternate photograph, a founder note. No badges, no points. Found on purpose.
